How can PSPC help you?

Doing Business with the Government of Canada

Are you a local company interested in selling your goods and services to the Government of Canada? Does your company have an innovative product or service that it would like to have tested by the government? Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) offers resources and information sessions to local companies interested in participating in the procurement process.

PSPC is the main procurement arm of the federal government. It manages procurement for over 100 departments and agencies and work with other departments to ensure a standard procurement practice.

The department of Public Services and Procurement, through the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME), offers seminars and webinars to local companies. These seminars will provide you with the information and resources required to make informed decisions on doing business with the Government of Canada and how it works.

There are an array of different seminar and webinar topics that are hosted by OSME including:

  • Doing business with the Government of Canada
  • Contract Security Program: Completing a facility security clearance application
  • Obtaining security clearance
  • Bidding on opportunities
  • Finding opportunities on buyandsell.gc.ca

These webinars provide an overview of the entire procurement process. The seminars and webinars cover an array of information that can help local companies make informed decisions on whether to bid on certain services or goods, what opportunities are available for them, information on the bidding process for the different types of procurement contracts, and many other tips and tricks.

Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP)

Does your business have a new, innovative technology or service?

The BCIP helps Canadian companies of all sizes move their state-of-the-art goods and services from the laboratory to the marketplace.

Through BCIP, the Government of Canada buys pre-qualified goods and services. The government moves late-stage research and development innovations to federal departments for testing. After testing, BCIP provides feedback to suppliers on the performance of their products or services.

Visit the BCIP website for more information on the program: www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/app-acq/picc-bcip/index-eng.html
